The general election of 10 November 2024 was marked by a landslide victory for the Alliance du Changement, which won 60 of the 62 seats on the island of Mauritius.
In Vacoas and Floréal
In Constituency No. 16, which he had represented since 2000, Nando Bodha won 4,349 votes and was not re-elected. He came first among the candidates standing outside the two major alliances. Nationally, Linion Reform won nearly 5% of the vote, without securing a seat.
After twenty-four years in Parliament
The election confirmed the end of twenty-four years of uninterrupted presence for Nando Bodha in the National Assembly, during which he was elected five times, held four ministerial portfolios and served as Leader of the Opposition.
He has not, however, left public life: at the head of the Rassemblement Mauricien, he continues his commitment outside Parliament and still speaks out on the major national debates.
