A year after his resignation, the Leader of the Rassemblement Mauricien argues for a two-term limit, liberalised media and an independent anti-corruption commission.

A year after leaving the government, Nando Bodha set out his vision of renewed governance in an interview with Defimedia published on 8 February 2022.

Two terms, no more

His flagship proposal: to limit to two the number of terms a Prime Minister may serve.

Stronger institutions

He also argued for the liberalisation of the media landscape and for the creation of an anti-corruption commission truly independent of political power. These proposals would remain central to his commitment in the years that followed, from electoral reform to independent appointments to key State posts.
